Paddle and Pull, Goodyear Lake

June 6, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join the Otsego County Conservation Association and kick off Invasive Species Awareness Week by getting the jump on water chestnut in Goodyear Lake. We’ll paddle in the stump lot portion of the lake searching for and removing water chestnut (Trapa natans), a highly invasive aquatic plant. Bring your own canoe, kayak or paddleboard, or borrow an OCCA canoe and PFD. Note that we have limited numbers of watercraft. Please indicate on the registration form if you need a canoe. If signing up for a canoe, we recommend you sign up with a member of your household.

Sign up here: https://occainfo.org/calendar/paddle-and-pull-goodyear-lake-7/

We will require masking where social distancing can’t be observed. Bring water, sunscreen, a hat and dress to get wet and maybe a little dirty. Meet at the Portlandville Fishing Access Site on Route 28, just south of Canoe & Kayak Rentals and Sales.
