Crumhorn Pond Fishing Access, Susquehanna State Forest, 42.556314 N, 74.942386 W
This is a paddle starting at 9 AM on May 14 and 15 at the Crumhorn Pond DEC Fishing Access site (off CR 35) and going to Portlandville and Goodyear Lake (same paddle both days). Life jackets properly worn are mandatory. Takeout is possible at Portlandville and Silliman Cove DEC Fishing Access site. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at Canoe and Kayak Rental in Portlandville- http://www.canoeandkayakrental.com . Proper cleaning of watercraft to prevent the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) is important and more info is available at Invasive Species Boat Stewards – NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation.
This paddle is sponsored by Rotary District 7170 Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG). There is a $10 dollar fee which covers both days. Youth under 18 years old with an accompanying adult and scouts are free.
