Trail Work Day at Basswood Pond State Forest

Join OCCA as they work on re-opening a portion of trail in Basswood Pond State Forest that was closed to logging. Volunteers are needed to help trim overgrown vegetation, remove debris from the trail and cut and remove fallen limbs. Meet at the Jacobs Road parking area. Note that it is about a 0.6 mile walk to the work site, and there is some hilly terrain. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring gloves that can protect against thorny plants. Equipment is limited, so feel free to bring loppers, hand pruners and hand saws if you have them. Also bring water.
