SUMMARY:ADK Group Hike by Goodyear Lake
DESCRIPTION:All welcome! The Susquehanna Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club leads weekly hikes. The hike on Tues.\, July 30th will be at Goodyear Lake\, led by Linda Pearce.  Two options: A 3-mile hike with some moderate inclines\, or a shorter\, easier walk led by Bev Hensle on the lake roads.  Bring your lunch and we will eat in our backyard when we return.  Ice cream and cold drinks will be provided.  Protect yourself from ticks.  Meet at the Pearce house at 10:00 am\, or carpool from the Oneonta Price Chopper\,  leaving at 9:40 am.  If the usual meeting area is still unavailable due to paving\, go to the far Price Chopper end of the lot and toward Rt. 7. \nDirections:\n\nFrom Oneonta: Rt. 7 east to Cooperstown Jct.\, sharp left turn at Austin’s Auction Barn onto Ct. Hwy. 35\, proceed 1.2 mi. to Sunnikrest Rd. on left.\nFrom Cooperstown: Rt. 28 south to Portlandville\, turn left onto Ct. Hwy. 35A and bear right past Wightman’s Lumber and continue approx. 2 mi. to Sunnikrest Rd. on right.  On Sunnikrest\, cross RR tracks and we’re the first house on the left.\n\nAny questions – call Linda at (607) 432-8969.
