DESCRIPTION:The Clark Sports Center is excited to welcome back our Rockin’ Around Cooperstown Ugly Sweater Race! While this is a fun event for those participating\, we are also raising funds for the Cooperstown Angel Network\, who assists families with demonstrated need in the Cooperstown Central School District. \nIf you are unable to race\, you can help in another way! Be an angel and volunteer for race Road Safety Patrol throughout the Village of Cooperstown. There are several major intersections on the race course that need help! \n\n\nRace Location\nThe race will begin at Santa’s House in Pioneer Park at approximately 9:30am with Santa himself giving opening remarks. \n\nRace Registration\nRegister at the Clark Sports Center or on race day from 8:00–9:00am at the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce (31 Chestnut Street\, Cooperstown NY 13326).

DESCRIPTION:Winter seems an unlikely time for insect hunting\, but it’s the best time for looking for hemlock woolly adelgid\, a tiny invasive insect that threatens our region’s majestic—and very important—hemlock trees. Learn how to identify hemlock trees and the hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA)\, and how to survey for HWA and report your findings. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for a trail to survey. The training will take place both in and outside\, so please dress for the weather. Co-sponsored by OCCA\, The Clark Foundation/Mohican Farm\, and Butternut Valley Alliance.
