Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society Co-President\, Becky Gretton leads this early morning walk at Mohican Farm in search of the early birds. This walk is suitable for beginners and experts alike. Bring binoculars\, bird guide and be prepared for any weather (and plan for walking in wet grass). Program is free\, but pre-registration is required at occainfo.org. Attendance is limited to 20.

I Love My Park Day–the largest single-day volunteer event in NYS–presents a perfect opportunity to clean up our favorite parks and shorelines\, plant trees and gardens\, restore trails and wildlife habitat\, remove invasive species\, and work on various site improvement projects–all which help to prepare our iconic state park system and public lands for the start of the season. \nJobs at Gilbert Lake State Park include: Painting out building\, bridges\, signs. Trimming and cleaning trails and roadsides. Weeding\, mulching flower beds and trimming back bushes. Raking leaves and mulching flower beds. Testing playgrounds (kids are great at this\, testing swings and slides to make sure they’re in working order). \nAll ages welcome. Register in advance
