DESCRIPTION:The Rothenberger Road to Recovery Run is in memory of Lucas Rothenberger\, for those who have lost a loved one to substance use disorder\, and to provide knowledge and education on the reality of recovery. \nThere will be a 1K Fun Run\, 5K Color Run/Walk\, and 10K Race. Bring the family\, the kids can play in Neahwa Park\, participate in the 1K Color Walk/Run\, or just hang out and listen to music. There will be demonstrations of reiki\, pilates\, yoga\, plus CBD treatments\, a registered dietician and healthy cooking lessons. Exhibitors include Richfield Springs Fire& Ambulance\, Richfield Springs Vets Club\, Richfield Springs Youth Sports\, Otsego County Department of Health\, Otsego County Office for the Aging\, Otsego 2000\, Otsego Outdoors\, Bassett Healthcare Network\, Helios Care and the Community Foundation of Otsego County. \n  \nThere will be music by local musicians and a bike rodeo for kids ages 6-12. There will be potluck BBQ at the Richfield Springs Community Food Cooperative from 3:00pm to 5:00 pm. Bring a dish to pass. \nFree\, all welcome. This walk will add and reinforce knowledge for participants who came on August 13th but is open to first time participants as well. This moderate hike with some steep inclines will take about an hour to complete. \nThis event is for ages 21+. \nAfter the hike\, find out more about Otsego Outdoors and the new Fall Octet Challenge. Otsego Outdoors partner organizations–the Otsego Land Trust\, Otsego County Conservation Association\, Butternut Valley Alliance and Otsego 2000–will be on hand with information on fun events and more ways to enjoy the outdoors in and near Otsego County. Brewery Ommegang will have information on their fall events too. \nLimited to 100 people. Sign up in advance online. Free\, donations to support Otsego Outdoors welcome. \nEveryone who completes the hike receives a free beer token\, courtesy of Brewery Ommegang. If you don’t feel up to spending the night\, come for dinner on Friday night and hang out around the campfire. OCCA will have gear to borrow so don’t let that stop you from spending a night under the stars!
