Del-Otse-Nango Kennel Club is a non-profit organization, founded in 1949 under the auspices of the American Kennel Club. We conduct Conformation shows, Obedience, Rally, and Agility trials, sanctioned matches, and Scent Work trials, along with AKC Temperament and Farm Dog certification tests. We welcome both pure-bred and mixed-breed dogs.Â
We provide educational opportunities to the general public in the form of demonstrations, seminars, Fit Dog walks, and Dog Fun days. We support local rescue organizations, food banks, and area 4H Dog Clubs through our members’ generous donations. Del-Otse-Nango offers a wide variety of events and programs throughout the year.
We recognize the importance of fitness, not only for ourselves, but also for our canine companions. As an AKC Fit Dog club, we schedule monthly activities to encourage members to enjoy the many trails and scenic hike venues available to us in our area, while meeting the goals of the Fit Dog program. Members have taken advantage of the Otsego Outdoors Octet Challenges as added fitness opportunities to enjoy with their dogs.Â
We meet at 6:30pm on the third Wednesday of each month, at the Oneonta Vet’s Club, 279 Chestnut St, Oneonta, NY 13820. Members of the public welcome to attend.Â
