Martin Brook Park
319 County Road 3 (Martin Brook Road)
Unadilla, NY
Enjoy this park which is maintained for public use by the Village of Unadilla and the Martin Brook Commission. Martin Brook runs through the park, which also features a picnic pavilion and three short blazed walking trails totaling 1.6 miles. Take time to explore along Martin Brook.
The Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society recommends Martin Brook Park for bird-watching. According to DOAS, it’s a good place to find warblers in the spring. Other sightings include Hermit Thrushes, Wood Thrushes, Veeries, Pileated Woodpeckers, Ruffed Grouse, Scarlet Tanagers, and Vireos. DOAS also recommends it for wildflowers: trillium, jack-in-the-pulpit, violets, hepaticas, etc. But the premier attraction is the pink lady slippers in June. They’re harder to find now than a few years ago but are worth the hunt. (look don’t pick please).
The park is open dawn to dusk Memorial Day to Labor Day.

What Octet-ers are saying:
August 2024: “Blue Trail was well groomed. Yellow trail was awful, full of briars. Red Trail started off good then was ungroomed.”
July 2024: “Martin Brook Park trails were not always accessible one trail was overgrown. Markers were rusted or lacked color.”
