Access to Goodyear Lake and the Susquehanna River.
Goodyear Lake is a manmade lake formed by damming the Susquehanna River. The result is a paddler’s paradise with miles of calm water to explore. A novice can paddle up the river, against the would be current for at least 10 miles. Paddle downstream and explore Goodyear Lake. State lands accessible for a picnic at Goodyear Lake Waterway Access at Silliman Cove (another access site on Goodyear Lake).Great Fishing. Wonderful views. Abundant wildlife: eagles, beavers, ducks, geese, herons, muskrats, river otters, osprey, wild turkey, deer.  These waters are suitable for canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and rowboats.
State sign and kiosk over 15 miles of calm flat water available, no portages.
On the east side of Route 28. Canoe & Kayak Rentals and Sales in Portlandville is walking distance to the boat launch, about one-tenth of a mile north of this access site.
