The Goodyear Lake Waterway Access at Silliman Cove is on 28 acres of state land along the southeastern shores of Goodyear Lake. This site offers an ADA hand launch as well as an ADA walking trail complete with ADA fishing pier. You can explore over 15 miles of calm flat water on Goodyear Lake via canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard, or rowboat. Hiking trails at Silliman Cove are also suitable for biking, cross country skiing, or snowshoeing. It is also a popular access point for ice fishing when conditions are right.
An out-and-back one mile walking trail along the shore offers lovely view of Goodyear Lake, as well as benches and picnic tables.
From Oneonta: Head northeast on State Route 7 for 6 miles. Take a sharp left onto County Route 35 and continue for approximately 0.8 mile before turning left onto Silliman Cove Road. Continue on Silliman Cove Road for 200 yards and bear right at the intersection. The parking area will be at the end of Silliman Cove Road.
