Susquehanna Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club
The Susquehanna Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) is based in Oneonta, NY, with the majority of chapter members residing within Otsego, Delaware, and Chenango counties in Central New York. The chapter provides opportunities for members to get involved in ADK’s conservation, advocacy, recreation, education, and stewardship work within the greater Oneonta area and throughout New York State.
Members come from all walks of life, and participate in many outdoor activities in the local area and throughout the Adirondack and Catskill State Parks. Whether you enjoy a quiet paddle on the Susquehanna River, a hike on a local trail, or summiting one of the 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks, the chapter provides opportunities to engage and protect the wilderness that you enjoy and cherish.
The chapter continues to increase the number of outings and trip available to members and the local community. Weekly Tuesday outings provide the opportunity to explore the many parks and state forests in the greater Oneonta region in all four seasons. Efforts are also underway to offer weekend hiking and paddling events for members interested in exploring the Adirondack and Catskill State Parks.
Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month (Sept-May) at the Elm Park Methodist Church, 401 Chestnut Street, Oneonta at 7pm. Â
